Alexander Shaburov, born in 1965, refined his artistic skills at the Sverdlovsk Art College and subsequently joined the Union of Artists of the Russian Federation. They pioneered a novel art movement, which they termed "Siberian Ironic Conceptualism," characterized by its unique amalgamation of video, photography, and performance to generate socially resonant and politically charged artworks.

Mizin and Shaburov’s unique approach and creative experiments have attracted international acclaim, notably through their participation in major exhibitions like the Venice and Moscow Biennales of Contemporary Art.
