Ivan Korshunov

Ivan Korshunov is a highly skilled Russian artist acclaimed for his mastery of the hyperrealistic style. He finished his schooling in 2003 at the Joseph Bakstein Institute of Contemporary Arts and in 2007 at the Surikov Moscow State Academic Art Institute.
A member of the Moscow Union of Artists and a candidate of art history, Ivan Korshunov's works are held in private collections worldwide, spanning Russia, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, Germany, Latvia, and England, as well as the State Art Museum of Novosibirsk and the National Museum of Beijing in China.
Ivan Korshunov distinguishes himself with a unique approach to hyperrealism, employing an ancient three-layer oil painting technique. He believes this method perfectly aligns with the philosophy of his creativity, focusing on the synthesis of artistic traditions in the context of contemporary reality.
The artist has received various awards, including a diploma from the Ministry of Culture of Russia, appreciation from the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation, and two commendations from the Russian Academy of Arts. He is also the laureate of the II prize at the "IV All-Russian Competition of Young Artists named after Pavel Tretyakov" at the State Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow.
Ivan Korshunov's participation in biennials such as the V and VII Moscow Biennale of Young Art underscores his significant position in contemporary art. His works are also included in the shortlist of the All-Russian Competition of Young Artists UNTITLED PRIZE 2018.
Since 2019, Ivan Korshunov has been part of the Top 100 recognized artists in Russia according to InArt, and holds an honorable place in the list of Best Contemporary Artists in Russia (ARTEEX).
