Egor Plotnikov, a remarkable Russian artist who has left an indelible mark on the vibrant Moscow art scene, was born in 1980 in the city of Kirov. His artistic odyssey commenced at the Vyatka Art School bearing the name of Arkady Rylov, where he successfully concluded his studies in 2000. Continuing his academic pursuit, Plotnikov enrolled in the SurikovMoscow State Academic Art Institute, eventually graduating fr om the studio of Pavel Nikonov, a founding figure of the "severe style."

The formative experience of interning at the Creative Workshops of the Russian Academy of Arts played a pivotal role in shaping his distinctive artistic voice. Egor Plotnikov became a member of the Moscow Union of Artists in 2006 and, in 2023, joined the Creative Union of Artists.

Egor Plotnikov has actively contributed to the frescoes and mosaics adorning various churches, including those in Nikitskoye village and Bezhetsk city (Tver region), Nizhny Novgorod, and Kirov (Vyatka). His artistic creations have found a coveted place in private collections across Russia and beyond, alongside prestigious institutions like the Russian Academy of Arts, the Russian Culture Foundation, the Gorbachev Foundation, the Moscow Union of Artists, and numerous regional museums.
