Darya Kotlyarova, nurtured in a deeply artistic environment in Moscow, has established herself as a prominent figure in the Russian art world. Her artistic lineage is notable, with her grandfather, Lev Kotlyarov, being a respected artist in the Soviet Union and her father, Pavel Kotlyarov, also achieving acclaim in easel painting. Her mother is a renowned art historian and a corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Arts, further enriching Darya's artistic heritage.

Darya Kotlyarova's formal art education began at the Moscow Academic Lyceum of the Russian Academy of Arts named after Tomsky and was furthered at the Moscow State Surikov Institute of Art.
